If
you need help:

Every
hour of every day, someone in the United States needs essential services
from finding substance abuse assistance to securing adequate care for
a child or an aging parent. Faced with a dramatic increase in the number
of agencies and help lines, people often don't know where to turn. In
many cases, people end up going without these necessary and readily
available services because they do not know where to start.
The 2-1-1 System connects people with needed human services through
an easy to remember three-digit phone number, the web and a variety
of community interactions. When someone connects with 2-1-1, specially
trained information and referral specialists analyze what services are
needed and provide the appropriate resource and related information
.The call is free, and the information provided may prove priceless!
United
Way of Franklin County also partners with FamilyWize
to distribute prescription drug discount cards.
How it Works
The FamilyWize Prescription Drug Discount Card enables you to receive
discounted pricing on prescription drugs. This is not insurance. It
is a program that offers immediate discounts on prescription drugs at
participating pharmacies. Simply present your card with each prescription
from your doctor to the participating pharmacy at the time of purchase
to receive your discounts. If you need to transfer a prescription, bring
your empty prescription bottle or label with you to the pharmacy.
Save an average of 20% off the pharmacy's usual and customary retail
price of prescription drugs, with the highest savings on generic drugs.
You may obtain the free cards at the United Way of Franklin County office
or by visiting the FamilyWize web page where you will be able to print
out a card. Cards may be used by the entire family. There is no sign
up or any forms to complete.
